The coffee machine manufacturer Faema is one of the top in its field and in 1961 Faema wrote an important page in its own history and introduced the Faema E 61 coffee machine to the market. The letter E in the model name symbolizes "Eclisse" or solar eclipse, the number 61 being the year the coffee machine was first introduced. The E61 is the first coffee machine that, unlike lever machines, uses a volumetric pump that supplies the water with an ideal pressure of 9 atmospheres and keeps it constant throughout the extraction process.
